The Ukulele has become very popular nation-wide. Did you know that studies show that when you take up playing an instrument you keep your mind sharp? Playing the ukulele has many benefits, including stress relief, easy to play, sense of achievement, improved cognitive function, affordable, social skill, and it’s lots of fun! The Walton County Snowbirds now has two Ukulele groups. The Beginner class already has 23 new members signed up to learn how to strum. In the Beginner class you will learn how to play the ukulele, how to hold and tune your ukulele, how to read and play key chords, and how to strum clearly. The Confident Beginner class is for those comfortable with playing a handful of key chords and has developed a strum or two. You will learn new songs, new chords, and more ukulele strumming patterns beyond the Beginner level. Join one or both classes.
