Conditions are rapidly intensifying for the Louisiana coast as the edge of Laura brings heavy rains and tropical storm force winds. Hurricane Laura's maximum sustained winds could reach 150 mph at landfall which is only 7 MPH from a Category 5 designation. While Hurricane Laura is expected to make landfall near the Texas-Louisiana border, the devastating effects will extend far from the storm’s center which will hit landfall tonight or early Thursday.
The cyclone is supposed to move off the coast during the weekend.
This is a fluid situation as with all weather predictions. We will keep you posted.
