PRESTO! at The Magic Parlor - REVIEW

Take a step back into the twentieth century with the enchanting show, PRESTO! At The Magic Parlor. Enjoy everything from ventriloquists to world-renowned magicians for a ninety-minute extravaganza that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat. We attended the show’s opening night and cannot recommend it enough. Guests are transported to a world of illusion and mystery that is both interactive and hilarious. PRESTO! delivers entertainment unlike anything we’ve seen before and, lucky for us, it’s right here in our backyard for the summer.

When we arrived, we were immediately sent back in time as we entered the velvet tent that was imported from Belgium. The tent is air conditioned and incredibly spacious. Seating was comfortable, and snacks and beverages were available. After we were seated, magicians performed card tricks as we waited for the main show to begin. When the magical world of PRESTO! commenced, we were introduced to the host, David Williamson, featured on ABC’s Champions of Magic, CBS’ Magician’s Favorite Magicians, and NBC’s World’s Greatest Magic III, the CW’s Masters of Illusion, and America’s Got Talent. Several of the other magicians are world-renowned as well and have appeared on The Today Show, Walt Disney Pictures, America’s Got Talent, and more.

Williamson led us through the mind-blowing twists and tricks of PRESTO! from beginning to end. We were stunned to discover that each magician featured a completely different act than the one before. This show was unexpected and kept us on our toes. PRESTO! is amazing and family friendly. We brought our granddaughter, and she absolutely loved it. The acts were highly interactive, pulling guests up on stage for fun illusions and tricks. This is a must-see addition to your Destin summer vacation.

The event features ten shows a week, Wednesday through Monday, May 19 through August 28. You can even make it a whole-evening event. Enjoy dinner at the Destin Commons before the show, and then make your way to the Magic Parlor for your evening of mind-blowing magic. You can purchase tickets online or in person. The show offers discount rates for children under twelve, senior citizens, and military and law-enforcement personnel. If you purchase tickets and cannot attend, you can exchange your tickets for a future show.
