Destin in the winter can vary and sometimes be unpredicatable. We recommend packing a jacket or sweatshirt to stay warm incase it gets cold. It won’t hurt packing a pair of pants as well just incase! We suggest checking the weather a few days before leaving so you can pack accordingly.

Simple answer, no. Well, we don’t recommend it! The average water temperature sits around 65 degrees F. Therefore, we will be pretty cold if you try to take a swim! The Florida sun is still nice and warm when you are in direct sunlight. You might be able to get away with sitting on the beach to sun bathe or at least in a t-shirt and shorts.

You won’t go hungry in Destin! Destin offers an abundance of grocery stores. Here are a few for your convenience. The Fresh Market, Publix Super Market, The Local Market, Winn-Dixie, Whole Foods. Destin also has a Walmart Supercenter and a Target.

Destin of some incredible venues for tourist and locals! Here are some options with good variety depending on what you are looking for. Parties Unlimited, Destin Bay House, Enchanted Parties LLC, Sky Room, and the Fort Walton Yacht Club.

To put it simply, Destins waters have a lot of algae in the water. Thus, when the sun reflects on the water, it makes the waters look emerald. This is why on cloudy days the may look different since the sun isn’t reflecting off the algae waters.

There are a number of things you can do when it rains in Destin. You can visit one of these various locations. The Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park, Wild Willy’s, Destin History and Fishing Museum, and the Emerald Coast Science Center.

Dogs are not allowed on Destin beaches. You can take your dog to Henderson Beach State Park in Destin Florida.

Overnight camping is prohibited even if you have a tent.

Yes! If you join a fishing excursion, a deckhand will cut and clean your fish for you. You can take your fresh catch to places like Brotula’s Seafood House & Steamer, Al’s Burger Bar, and Camille’s at Crystal Beach.

No, golf carts are only allowed on certain parts within the Destin area. Golf carts are not allowed on public roads. 35 MPH or under. However, you are able to drive your golf cart around the resort communities and to the beach.
